Who am I?
I’m Anoop P A (Anoop Kakkur😉), hail from Kakkur, Kozhikode, Kerala, India and am an experienced IT Professional specializing in System Administration. My journey began with a B.Sc. in Information Technology from K S R College of Engineering, affiliated with Anna University Chennai. I hold certifications as a Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) and a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).
Professional Journey
- Information Kerala Mission: I served as a Training Assistant for three months and later as a Master Trainer for four years and eight months.
- Kerala Institute of Local Administration (KILA): Since 2015, I’ve been a Technical Assistant in the IT section at KILA. During this period, our institution received accolades for two noteworthy projects that I’m associated with:
- First Prize in the Kerala State Chief Minister’s Award 2020-2021 for Administrative Innovations.
- Third Prize in the Kerala State E-Governance Award 2016-2017 for E-Learning.
My time at KILA has been transformative. I’ve honed my skills in system administration and Tier 3 technical support. The exposure to cutting-edge technologies has been invaluable for my career.
National Workshops Attended
- Design and Development of Institutional Repositories using DSpace
- Organized by: Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR)-National Institute of Science Communication and Information Resources (NISCAIR), Delhi
- KOHA: An Open Source Integrated Library Management System
- Organized by: Library and Information Center, Marian College Kuttikkanam, in association with the Kerala Library Association (KLA).
These workshops have opened up exciting new avenues in library digitalization.
